 In 1998, in recognition of its application of space technology, TEMPUR 
 was honoured an Award of Recognition from the National Aeronautics and 
 Space Administration (NASA) as well as a Certificate of Achievement from 
 the U.S. Space Foundation. 
 The Tempur Technology in the NASA Hall of Fame
 In the same year, 1998, the TEMPUR Technology together with the GPS 
 (Global Positioning System) were appointed to the NASA Hall of Fame, 
 Colorado Springs, as two space technologies having attained exceptional 
 success in commercial application.
 This accomplishment was in keeping with the goals and standards of the 
 Space Technology Hall of Fame program, honouring innovations that have 
 transformed technology originally developed for space into commercial 
 products.
