DIY Guy: How to Build Distressed Pallet-Look Shelves

    The DIY Guy shows you how to build a pallet shelf lookalike that doesn't require you to acquire and disassemble an actual pallet.

    You're welcome.

    1) Measure your space.
    2) Cut boards to alternating lengths.
    3) Lay boards out in a staggered pattern.
    4) Use pocket hole jig to secure boards together.
    5) Measure desired width and cut 2 boards to 1inch shorter than measurement.
    6)Line up shelves and pre-drill holes for shelves to avoid cracking.

    Use 2 1/2 inch pocket hole screws to fasten shelves.
    * If you are using Rustic Cottage Pine Wall Planks you are done (go you!)
    7) Distress wood to desired look.
    8) Stain final product.
